Why I Think $FUEL Is the Most Mispriced Asset on Robinhood At $100K MC, $FUEL looks like a tiny Robinhood game token. Turns out it's becoming the base asset of a gamified DeFi launchpad. This is the thesis. But first, let me prove to you why the original Stock Miners loop is worth productizing at all. Start with the Mine @StockMinersRH launched on Robinhood Chain with 3,333 original Machine NFTs. The basic loop is simple: own a Machine, decide when and where to deploy it, use $FUEL to mine, and compete for rewards paid in ETH or tokenized stocks. That might sound like the classic “buy NFT, farm rewards” setup. It’s not. What makes it interesting is that the system cleanly separates: Machine NFT = productive asset $FUEL = operating resource ETH / tokenized stocks = output That separation is what makes Stock Miners much closer to gamified DeFi than traditional GameFi. The capital is active, not passive Each Machine has traits that change where and when it performs best. That means returns depend on how you deploy the asset. You need to understand timing, crowding, ticker conditions, floor matching, raw output versus fuel efficiency. To get the best returns, you have to utilize your means of production! Anyone familiar with Kamigotchi probably just had an “aha” moment. There’s a very similar idea underneath both systems: productive onchain assets that need to be actively deployed and optimized, not just passively staked. The numbers already matter Before going deeper, the numbers already tell us something important: The system has already sold out its productive assets, shrunk both token and NFT supply, and paid external rewards. Why this avoids the GameFi death spiral Most GameFi economies eventually collapse under continuous token emissions. Players farm the token. More tokens enter circulation. Players sell them. Eventually the rewards themselves become the thing that drains the economy. $FUEL is built different. The full 1B supply was emitted at launch, with no future mint schedule and no visible team allocation waiting to vest and dump. Instead, $FUEL trading generates fees. Fees fund the Mine’s ETH rewards, while players consume $FUEL to compete for them. And on top of that, $FUEL is continuously burned across the ecosystem. Supply only moves in one direction. But that alone does not make the economy magically sustainable. The economy is contracting on both sides The original 3,333 NFT mint alone burned 134.4M FUEL, or 13.4% of the original 1B supply. In the roughly two weeks, burned supply has climbed to 17%. The NFT side is shrinking rapidly too. More than half of the original Machine collection has already been merged away. This is due to players sacrificing lower-tier Machines to create more efficient ones. A Tier V Machine represents 16 original Tier I Machines compressed into one productive asset. $FUEL deflation is not dependent on one sink. You can dig through the docs for the full info dump, but the bigger takeaway is that $FUEL deflation is not dependent on one single sink. It is being consumed across the base Mine, Pool Mining, and now the broader Foundry stack. Pool Mining is a good example of how the token’s role keeps widening. Season Zero entered play with roughly 22.5M FUEL in the Global Season Pot: around 10M was market-bought by the team, roughly 12M came from the Captain auction, with player entries adding more on top. It also adds new sinks like Overclock, where players can burn FUEL to boost their team’s collective mining power. So $FUEL’s role already extends beyond simply operating the base Mine. The weakness If trading activity funds the mining output, it has to come from somewhere. Importantly, the system only distributes a fixed slice of the ETH reserve pool every 6 hours. That means falling volume does not instantly break the system. Payouts get smaller.
